A native of Florida, Dr. Hamrick earned his D.M.D degree with honors from the University of Florida in 1978.
He then practiced general dentistry in Pensacola, Florida for five years. In 1986 he received his postgraduate degree in Periodontics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Since that time he has been in private practice in Raleigh and has also been an adjunct professor at the UNC School of Dentistry Department of Graduate Periodontics as a visiting faculty. He is board-certified in Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery by the American Board of Periodontology.
Dr. Hamrick is active in mission work in Raleigh as well as in various countries outside the US. He has been married to his wife Lynne for over 40 years. They live in Raleigh where they raised their three children and are blessed with four grandkids. Dr. Hamrick enjoys attending UNC and Hurricanes sporting events, golfing and boating. He and his wife enjoy spending time at the North Carolina coast.
