Dr. Sheppard McKenzie IV
Dr. McKenzie is a native of North Carolina and was raised in Raleigh, NC.
He earned his D.D.S degree with honors from UNC School of Dentistry at Chapel Hill where he was selected into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon national dental honorary society based on is scholarship and character. In addition, the American Academy of Periodontology recognized Dr. McKenzie for his outstanding achievement in Periodontics. Dr. McKenzie earned his Masters of Science in Periodontology as well as his Certificate of Advance Study in Periodontology from UNC School of Dentistry at Chapel Hill.
Dr. McKenzie’s practice emphasizes dental implants, bone grafting, periodontal regeneration in the treatment of periodontal disease, cosmetic surgery, soft tissue grafting, and complex interdisciplinary cases. He is board certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.
Dr. McKenzie has been married to his wife Katie since 2002 and they have three children. He enjoys fishing, golfing, skiing, reading, hunting and running. In addition, his family likes to travel and enjoy the North Carolina outdoors. The McKenzie family attends Christ Church in downtown Raleigh where Dr. McKenzie serves as a Stephen Minister.
